January 17, 2026 - Warbird Experience Flight

With our plane proving to be sound, it was time to get to the whole reason for our foundation’s experience. John Davis, who lent his artistic skills in giving our aircraft its signature nose art, went up in Annie to directly connect with his father’s past. Walter Davis served in World War 2 as a P-38 pilot for the USAAF, and as with so many during that war, put in his 70 flight training hours in the Vultee. It was a chance for John so see, hear, and feel what his dad did more than 80 years ago.
